This year, more than 5,000 students enrolled and over 700 completed the Owen’s Condition for Tuition fitness challenge —an impressive reflection of the commitment CSULB students are making to their health and well-being.
The celebration was full of energy, with food, activities, and a strong sense of CSULB pride—but the most meaningful moment was awarding one deserving student a full semester of tuition.
This program carries special significance for our team. Our President Emeritus, Josh Owen, was deeply committed to giving back and was involved in many charitable efforts throughout his life. Of all the causes he supported, Condition for Tuition was especially close to his heart. His legacy continues to live on through the students whose lives are changed by this program each year.
Josh’s daughter, Piper, had fun announcing the big winner—continuing a tradition that reflects the spirit behind the program.
